1. Who is responsible for your information
Cantera Software (“Cantera”, “we”) is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. We work with businesses in the United States and Mexico. For any question about this notice or your information, write to [email protected] (English) or [email protected] (Spanish).
2. Information we collect
We only collect the information we need to respond to you and to understand how the website is used:
- Information you give us through the contact form: name, company, email, phone, industry, the type of project you need, an optional estimated budget and your message. We also record the page and site language from which the form was sent.
- Information you share when you contact us directly by phone, WhatsApp or email, such as your name, phone number, email address and the content of your messages.
- Usage information collected automatically through Google Analytics, such as pages visited, approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, the website that referred you and interactions such as clicks on our contact options.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information (such as health, financial or biometric data) through this website. Please do not include it in your messages.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your inquiry and follow up on it.
- Prepare proposals, estimates and project plans you request.
- Manage our working relationship if you become a client.
- Measure and improve the website, for example which pages and contact options are useful.
Responding to your inquiry and managing any resulting relationship are the primary purposes. Website analytics is a secondary purpose: you can object to it at any time, as explained in the cookies section, without affecting our response to you.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it to send you advertising without your consent.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with providers that help us operate, and only to the extent they need it:
- Our email and hosting providers, which deliver contact-form messages to our inbox and host this website.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics.
- WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to contact us through WhatsApp, under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.
We may also disclose information when required by law or by a competent authority. We never sell or rent your personal information.
5. International transfers
Our team works in the United States and Mexico, and some of our providers operate in other countries. Your information may therefore be processed in the United States and Mexico. Whenever we share it, the protections described in this notice still apply.
6. How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for as long as we need it to respond to you and, if you become a client, for the duration of our relationship and any additional period required by law. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete it when it is no longer needed.
- Object to specific uses, such as analytics.
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
In Mexico these are known as ARCO rights (access, rectification, cancellation and opposition). To exercise any of them, email [email protected] or [email protected] with your name, the right you want to exercise and enough detail for us to locate your information. We will respond within the time limits set by applicable law.
8. Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga) to measure visits and interactions. They do not identify you by name.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The website works normally without them.
When you use the language switcher, we store your language choice in your browser so the site opens in that language next time. It is not sent to us.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Minors
This website is intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The current version will always be available on this page, together with its date of last update.
12. Contact
